Living Deeply

It's bigger than black and white

It's a problem with the whole way of life

Is the latest thing ringing in my ear as I watch the world spin on social media from the comfort of my very relaxed home. I know it's a privilege that allows for me to do so, a spiritual awareness that I’ve been committed to maintaining that helps me see the other side to what Lil Baby is saying. He’s conveying his own understanding for something being wrong with more than just the surface of our human experience but that our way of life is tainted and endangered.

Normally, I wouldn’t declare that something is “wrong” and bring it into fruition yet there is empowerment in the boldness of stating this observation with intentions to resolve what it is that I declare “wrong”. More to what Lil Baby is saying has to do with our collective narrative of human culture. Our creation story has been flipped inside-out and the collective’s conflict with the ways of life which we feed to one another is confirmation that something is indeed “wrong.”

Disharmony is much too prevalent to ignore and not examine. If everything is balanced, then why are we so divided between our egos and beliefs? It’s not simply existing in our own rights and being separate amongst the land that’s causing our division. It’s being in close proximity in different shades, shapes, and spirits while disharmonic and aggressive that brings about disorder. It seems that we are prone to misunderstanding one another before trying to empathize or relate.

In needing to be factual, when do we actually sit down amongst each other and try to figure it out? When do we take time away and work together to build more abundant and liberated environments? I honor the need to release thoughts and feelings of hurt and disdain for all oppression and harm that people have endured. In no way would I suggest that we not go through the process of truly feeling what we are going through and finding means to release in the ways that we do, yet I aim to inspire an approach that ensures our needs are met from the inside out. It would be much more fulfilling for our minds, bodies, and spirits to take some time to self-reflect, self-check, and self-heal while we are actively examining, unlearning, and dismantling parts of our collective culture that remain unbalanced.

What are ways to heal?

What are we healing from?

How do you identify that you need healing?

What does healing look like?

Is forgiveness a part of healing?

These are questions for myself and you…

Let’s engage and expand in the comments.
